Privacy
This is a plain-language description, not a legal opinion. The site has no accounts and no password database.
Forecast searches
A city or postal code you submit is sent to this site's server, then to Open-Meteo. Postal codes are also sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Server logs may include the IP address used for rate limiting. Forecast responses are cached so a storm does not require a fresh upstream call for every visitor.
Messages
If the contact form or alert signup is configured, the contents go to the mail provider named in the server environment: Resend, or an HTTPS webhook you choose. If those variables are absent, the forms are not shown and nothing is stored. We do not sell addresses.
Advertising
The default site loads no advertising script. If an AdSense client id is set at build time, Google's script can load after the page is idle and Google may use cookies under its own policy. That choice is off until you configure it.
Access
To ask about a message you sent, use the contact page or the public email if one is published. People in Canada can also read the Office of the Privacy Commissioner's material on PIPEDA. This page does not replace that guidance.
