About CanadaSnowDay

CanadaSnowDay is a Canada-wide planning tool for school closures and bus cancellations. It publishes a formula, names the weather source, and leaves the actual decision to school boards and transportation consortia.

Editorial Team

The Editorial Team writes and maintains this site. We document the predictor, check school-board and transportation links against the organizations' own websites, and correct pages when those sites change. We are not a school board, a transportation consortium, or a government office.

The desk is an editorial entity for this site, not a newsroom with a separate legal name and not a person you can call at a school board. Change the bio in src/content/authors.ts.

What we will not do

We do not invent closure statistics, hit rates, or announcement clocks. If a consortium publishes a posting window, we say so and link the site. If we have not checked a homepage, we do not link it.

The site can show advertising only when an AdSense client id is configured. The default build has no ad markup and no third-party script.
