Editorial policy

The Editorial Team maintains the guides and the location pages. The predictor's numbers are produced by code, not written by hand each morning.

Facts about boards

We state a board's name, homepage, and transportation partner only when that organization's own site, or the board page that points to it, says so. Service areas are described carefully. Where a boundary or an announcement time is uncertain, we say so and link the official site. We do not copy ridership statistics.

What we do not invent

No closure history, no accuracy percentage, no fake reviews, and no claim that a board closes at a secret centimetre. The snow-tolerance and cold-sensitivity settings are editorial judgements about climate. They are labelled on the forecast and listed on the methodology page.

Guides

Guides are Markdown or MDX files with a title, description, date, updated date, and author. The author must exist in the author list. Pages that mention a city, province, or board only do so when the file names a slug that exists.

Corrections and ads

If a link breaks or a consortium changes its process, use the contact page. Advertising appears only when an AdSense client id is present at build time, and it is labelled Advertisement. This build does not sell placements to school boards.
